HELLANDBACK hails from Cleveland Ohio and aren't your typical US metal band. With influences from Overkill, Metal Church and Flotsam and Jetsam they have a unique blend of American metal with some progressive elements.

Their debut effort "A Thousand Years" is a strong effort with riff driving tunes like SOAR, ATOMIC ASCENDING and DISOBEYING THE GODS to melodic choruses in EYGPTIAN BRIDE, SCISSORS and the almighty acoustic starting title track. A melodic Helstar comes to mind as the band style is hard to describe. Vocals cover a wide range from very aggressive to high pitch screams and perfectly fitted melodies. This is a very strong, interesting release if you love US METAL.
