The silence speaks, the wind it calls her name
A smile with the laughter and pain
Her distant eye because she knows, her time is short with you

You came like a rose from the barren earth
A flower of sweetest perfume
Like the sun in the morning
Sets fire to the dawn’s gloomy haze
No more cruel frozen winter nights
Just years of sweet autumn days
But soon as the light woke my dying hope
I saw the sun sinking low
I knew this new day could never last
I prayed it would not fade so soon
But night swiftly fell on my troubled heart
Night with no silvery moon
So in silence, here I'll lie
Letting the year long days go by
In my fevered mind I'll dwell
Rather than face this living hell
No more soothing breeze
All our poetry's just lost
Like your face in the darkness
Of yesterday
Dreams now fade into ashes
Hopes, only embers remain
Fading to dust in a hollow world
I feel no more pleasure or pain
All that’s left is a dying prayer
To one day see you again
