Red leaves falling Under burning skies A reminder Beauty always dies It hung from a silver chain With a woman's face inside Staring back with faded eyes Hard years took their toll on us Her eyes no longer see And she can't recall my name No more Lately I can feel the tide Of borrowed time Wanting me to go into that good night And I never will, but Red leaves falling Under burning skies Living out of season A body firmly in decline I cursed that symbol of our decay And flung it to the ground And it didn't change a thing Your future's creeping silently One day it will take everything Even your dignity Someone played a trick on us This deadly flaw Wasn't meant to fall on the perfect world we trust Immortal we are Red leaves falling Weighing on my mind Is there someone waiting Am I leaving or just left behind Days go by No one visits, no one writes How I wish to hear her sing the words one more time It's the same old story The tragedy we all endure Don't be sorry Some things have to be To live forever The height of human vanity Time moved onward

Give me power to unwind The coil of destiny To break the bloody chains that encircle me I tie my fate to yours I should be more afraid Too late, I'm trapped in a devil's game You can reach in and take some Got in too soon Don't care who you take from But it always takes a little more from you Chasing a loss Pride at any cost What is it worth? I'm no better than before Reroute, dying in pursuit of that fabled goal: To reap and never sow Give me everything at once Living someone else's dreams No patience for the hunt, I know all I need I tried so very hard To catch the falling knife Now there's a dark cloud in my life You can try to deny it You feel the fool It's harder to hide it When the wheel of fortune cruelly turns on you Chasing a loss Pride at any cost What is it worth? I'm no better than before Reroute, dying in pursuit of that fabled goal: To reap and never sow Modern alchemy Making gold from others' time While the well of life runs dry There's no certainty No painless way to win In this battle we're all in Only the favored survive Can we take it back Every day is just a number Every thing that once held wonder A choice to regret Will you cut and run When the wheel comes around Or will you lose it all again

Skyscraper 07:08
The skyline coming into sight Let your eyes adjust to light Who made you? The architects are gone but they speak It stood a thousand years Bearing wind and rain Nobody ever learned The artificer's name Hold on The vision says hold on When shadows are gone This truth remains The story of our deeds Wrapped in glass and steel eternity From the ground below To the summer sky Every stone took on life in the mind From the first clear thought Till the end of time Still you'll see my legacy Rising high Is this what's to remain Of the lives we led? Statues toppled over Missing arms and heads No, this calling is something more You've been here before And will return Impossible design Rendered in cold steel for you to find From the ground below To the summer sky Every stone took on life in the mind From the first clear thought Till the end of time Still you'll see my legacy Rising high Now I know this place was expecting me The curtain wall transforms Open... From the ground below To the summer sky Every stone took on life in the mind From the first clear thought Till the end of time Still you'll see my legacy Rising high Eyes toward the sky…

Solaire 03:45
Far and wide my mind has wandered In my time away from the sun Banished for some transgression I can't recall Why? How many years now since I came below? I am losing faith in things I used to know My old divinity Is coming through in waves A fleeting memory of former glory And time goes by without a sign In the pantheon above I'm the wayward child you left behind The fallen god who was I know that you're still up there watching me I can hear the laughter even now Don't you remember who I used to be? Future full of promise, always standing proud So how can I atone In your enlightened view? And if I have, how will I know? How will I know? And time goes by without a sign In the pantheon above I'm the wayward child you left behind The fallen god who was

Surrounded by your treasures You think of only what you've lost Walking in technicolor sleep Unaware of damage you have caused We're heading for ruin It's the final test Philisophical questions Finally put to rest Know sooner or later This morbid story has to end Voluntary extinction Strayed from the path Voluntary extinction Give something back Tearing at the seam Expanding into all vacancy How long can all this madness go on? You are obsolete In years of domination Humanity has never done what's right You may not live to see it, yet The day will come when someone pays the price The wreck of today Is tomorrow's prize We all share in the blame But not me I'm fine The flow will go on Consuming until something dies Voluntary extinction Strayed from the path Voluntary extinction Give something back
6.
(I) Now I'll close my eyes And maybe when they open once more you'll be gone Remember I'd say to you I'm gonna see the world I never knew And when this inner battle's won You'll see it too You'll see it too What's behind those eyes? A stranger to company Watcher in a mirror maze Avoiding your gaze Fly away Into a world where I am everyone Lie awake, these marble halls Will hide me till the threat of connection fades Like ships passing in the night I keep my outlook out of sight The morning hour breaks and I'm not there We twist words until they bleed Saying everything but what we need Look on but never speak till life is ending What's behind those eyes? The stumbling traveler Knows what little light remains Is fading away But still we hold on to faraway plans Clouded things nobody understands To face ourselves To do what no one can (II) I'm falling But no longer seem to care And I'm free to be nothing A way of living that has served me well I'll see it through Would we be happier outside? Do I step into the light Life behind closed eyes Soon I must decide Tell me When did harmless apathy Become open contempt? It's not enough to feel sorry later Another day ...And as the world moves on... Will we be safe on the outside? Do I step into the light, I'll try Always looking down Blind to all around The mirror breaks And still it is me The morning wakes And I can see what I've never seen Never seen before Everything I have known must fall Too late, too late The waking world above awaits
7.
The sun goes down The heavens make their rounds Same as before We don't talk about what happened here Just beyond our door One day this rage will finally end Would you complain, my friend The only way through the day Was to try to forget It feels like I've let you down Are you out there somewhere else? Are those lies we tell ourselves? For you I'll try to believe ...Just a slim possibility Nothing more left to do But sit and wait impatiently Answers promised us, always out of reach Reveal yourself to me There's a rupture in the sky A dark reminder why life's standing still I know we're on our own It's hard to cling to anything In a world that can kill ...Simply for being at home There's so much more left to say Are you out there somewhere else? Oh, we just don't know Though hope is low And logic's cold Even so, maybe this isn't goodbye
8.
Sometimes it just confounds the mind To grasp the concept of a world beyond our time This passing moment still is mine The tragedy, the ecstasy With me they're left behind Find a lie An optimistic fantasy Something certain A ward against insanity Forever is nothing A one-way ride to obscurity Learned never to stare too long into eternity Forever is nothing We have our own ways to forget Your works, they turn to dust And even dust is impermanent Don't be sorry Some things have to be Hold it high The glory and the agony Humanity! Forever is nothing A one-way ride to obscurity Learned never to stare too long into eternity Forever is nothing The stinging sweat and the tears you wept Take comfort in this fact: You know those tears are impermanent

about

Emerging from great personal tumult and tragedy, CHAOS FRAME make their triumphant return with 2022's "Entropy." The album is a rumination on ruination - an acknowledgement of, and rebellion against, a world that would leave us behind. The band continues its tradition of mixing strange influences without resorting to cheap gimmickry. Genres present include power and prog with borrowings from jazz, DnB, ambient, black and symphonic metal. Where 2015's "Paths to Exile" often hinted at extremity with blastbeats, "Entropy" introduces electronic-esque breakbeats to the mix, courtesy of new drummer Andrew Julkowski. This eclecticism comes at no expense to the hook-laden songwriting founding members Matt Hodsdon and Andy Xiong are known for, with riffs and melodies that are stronger and more focused than ever before. All of this provides an almost limitless canvas for singer Dave Brown's incredible range and vocal characteristics to paint soaring and sometimes introspective melodies throughout. Prepare for Chaos Frame's finest outing... Prepare for Entropy.
